30 Days of Gratitude

Gratitude:

The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Gratitude, or the act of being grateful, is something we all want to be. Yet, it can be difficult to feel grateful for anything when things aren't going well in your life, or the world is thrown topsy-turvy (like when there is a global pandemic).

However, the importance of gratitude has been shown to improve self-reported happiness and an increase in physical health. The simple act of being grateful can make you feel happier, treat others with more kindness, perform better at work, have more energy, enjoy happier and healthier relationships, and build resilience against hard times.

Who wouldn't want all of that?

This year has been a challenge for all of us. We are all searching for ways to be "normal" again, to get back what we've lost due to safety measures, and to reconnect with ourselves and loved ones. We may never get back to our former "normal," instead we can focus on building an even better "normal" for the future. We can do that by incorporating small, mindful practice into our lives.

The Academy wants to help you start a practice of gratitude.

During our 30 Days of Gratitude challenge we will provide you with simple ways you can practice gratitude throughout the month of November. With three quick and simple steps each week, you can start reaping the benefits of regular gratitude practice. Just follow us on our blog, Facebook, or instagram

You can also update your account profile with the image below to let others know you're joining the challenge.

Join us for 30 days of practice, encouragement, information, and (with your help) a community of people sharing their gratitude!
