The Academy Celebrates 29 years!
The Academy celebrated its 29th anniversary in October with a successful community donation drive benefiting MACC Charities Emergency Food Pantry and Community Outreach in Manchester, CT.
With a mission to cultivate not only physical strength but also personal growth and social responsibility, we hosted the donation drive to encourage our students to put their martial arts philosophy of respect, discipline, and compassion into action. The response from The Academy community was overwhelmingly positive, with numerous donations of non-perishable food and supplies collected throughout the two-week event.
Grandmaster Waldron expressed his gratitude for the support received:
"This event is about more than just celebrating our anniversary—it's about encouraging our students and families to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. At The Academy, we believe that the true essence of martial arts extends beyond the school, and this donation drive is a perfect example of how we can live out the values of respect and compassion in our everyday lives."
The Academy offers a wide range of martial arts programs designed for personal development, including traditional Martial Arts classes for children and adults, Jedi Warrior Training (combining lightsaber skills with American Ninja Warrior-style activities), Cardio Kickboxing, and Gentle Do Tai Chi. These programs aim to provide physical, emotional, and mental benefits while fostering a strong sense of community.
The donations collected will go directly to the MACC Charities Emergency Food Pantry, which serves thousands of local individuals and families facing food and housing insecurity.
Grandmaster
"The success of this donation drive highlights the importance of building not only strong bodies but also strong, compassionate communities. We are proud to support MACC Charities, whose work to feed and support our neighbors is essential. The impact of these donations will help local families in need, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed."
