Halloween 2020 at the Academy
On Saturday, October 31st The Academy is hosting a “Trunk or Treat” event for any and all children (young and old) who want to show off their costumes, see some spooky decorations, and get treats!
The Academy teaches students to defend themselves against all sorts of potential harm through the martial arts. We teach responsibility and respect, and we take those ideas very seriously. Now we are teaching our students to be safe during Covid (by wearing masks and keeping social distance) and by reinforcing the importance of taking responsibility to keep our neighbors as safe as possible.
We decided to host this event because we want to help our community stay safe during this pandemic. Trunk-or-treating done right is one of the safest ways to celebrate Halloween this year, and we’re doing everything we can to make it safe for all involved. We know that kids love Halloween and with all the changes over the last six months we all just want to have a little bit of normal fun! We’re here to help you give your children a fun time while still acting responsibly by keeping ourselves and our neighbors as safe as possible.
Trunk or treating is open from 2:00 to 4:00pm in the Academy parking lot at 1404 Tolland Turnpike, Manchester. We’ll facilitate families taking turns to go down the corridor of spookily decorated cars, where candy and treats will be available for contactless pick up by trick-or-treaters. All participants need to wear face coverings that prevent the spread of germs and maintain social distance with other family groups.
We look forward to seeing you and helping you make this Halloween as fun as possible!
We're thrilled that so many people signed up, but sad if this means you won't get a chance to join us! |
